Taunton, MA – With November on the horizon, Dermody Cleaners of Taunton is thrilled to launch its 15th annual Food Drive, a dedicated effort to create a positive impact in the lives of those facing adversity within the extended Taunton area.

Amidst rising living costs and the fast-approaching winter holiday season, the significance of charitable contributions cannot be overstated. Dermody Cleaners extends a warm invitation to residents of greater Taunton, Somerset, and Lakeville, inviting them to partake in this impactful initiative.

For nearly three decades, Dermody Cleaners has joined forces with St. Vincent de Paul, a venerable organization committed to aiding the less fortunate. This year marks the fourth consecutive Food Drive collaboration between them, underscoring their steadfast commitment to the local community.

From November 1st through November 30th, individuals are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at any Dermody Cleaners location. Additionally, supporters can conveniently include food donations with their clothing orders through the Home Pickup & Delivery service. To ensure the safety and shelf-life of the donated items, Dermody Cleaners kindly requests that all contributions be non-perishable and packed in non-glass containers.

Among the most sought-after items are staples such as peanut butter, canned tuna, spaghetti sauce, ketchup, cereal, and dry pasta. Every contribution, regardless of its size, has the power to make a significant difference in the lives of those facing hardship within our community.

Established in 1955, Dermody Cleaners remains a cherished, family-owned business that has been a cornerstone of Taunton for nearly seven decades. Its main location, situated at 34 Cohannet Street in Downtown Taunton, has been serving the community faithfully. In addition, a second Taunton location offers both dry cleaning and coin-operated laundry services at 648 County Street. Dry cleaning drop-off locations can also be found at 220 Bedford St. in Lakeville and at 1273 GAR Highway in Somerset. Demonstrating their unwavering dedication to the community, Dermody Cleaners offers free pickup and delivery services for dry cleaning in a wide array of communities, encompassing Taunton, Attleboro, North Attleboro, Raynham, Berkley, Easton, Norton, Mansfield, Foxboro, and Lakeville.
